1st thing. read the campsites instructions on getting there as i’d not want anyone to make the mistake we made of following google maps instructions, the back roads are not suitable for even our little 6m 2berth. it was very scary. the journey out following their instructions was much better.

This campsite is 2 completely different products so really should split itself in 2 as 2 different levels of expectation get very mixed reviews.

there is the campsite, I can’t comment on any of it as we were allocated the “aire” the other side of the road. perfectly adequate for a pay for aire with leccy but priced as a campsite so not so good. you can use the facilities on the campsite but they are a walk away so we didn’t and the space between vans is most certainly not campsite worthy, we had no room to get our table and chairs out.
the cafe on site was lovely and super friendly.

There is a bus from just outside into San Sebastián.,it runs every 20 mins. dogs are allowed but the driver told us 1 dog per person and they had to be held on our laps so be prepared for that.

San Sebastián is stunning, the food is incredible. so as much as the site was not good value for money we’d go back again to spend more time in San Sebastián.

The approach roads are narrow and winding and the access to the smallish pitches is slso difficult for a medium sized caravan. Motor mover essential. The facilities are good and access to San Sebastian is easy which is a lovely town with great beaches.

Well organised site at the top of a long steep hill but we towed up no problem. Bus into San Sebastian regular and cheep. San Sebastian is a great town with plenty to see and eat.
On site bar good value wine.
Whatever you do don\'t follow sat nav but follow sites printed directions.

Dreadful experience. Ehu on a car park off site with grey water disposal and bins beside potable tap. Poor hygiene. Showers and toilets were only available in main site which involved quite a hike. No wifi unless you hiked to the main site. Staff very rude and abrupt. Only positive was regular half hourly local bus service 1.85euro each way into San Sebastian. I would advise everyone to avoid this site for which you pay a lot of money for basically wild or aire camping

Positives - This is an ideal location for accessing San Sebastián (a great City to visit). Bus to City from campsite every 30 mins -€1.85 per trip and operates until late evening. New swimming pool is very good but I expect gets crowded in high season. Sanitary facilities were excellent (clean, hot showers with great pressure), good wash up facilities and washing machines and dryers. Near by within walking distance a few nice bars/restaurants (including a 3 Star Michelin). Not so good - The bar is soleless particularly on a damp wet day. The pitches are variable - some very small, mucky after rain and many uneven. Checkin was a mess here, the guy dealing with me was less than helpful. After 5 efforts to locate a suitable and available pitch we set up but he had offered pitches that were not free, were unsuitable for our van, one had no electricity, or they could not facility our planned 5 nights because of apparent prebookings (which was not the case as another camper had booked months ahead and had the same chaos on arrival). They have a chaotic approach to pitch allocation and several others encountered the same. Some staff were good to deal with but this man let the place down. The on-site restaurant is basic and had the air of learning on the job from the nice staff - little if any senior staff overseeing the business. The small shop is ok for basics and bread each day (prices reasonable). On day of departure we had to wait 3 hours to depart as the roadway was closed off for a major Triathlon event - not the fault of the staff but there was no effort to warn in advance any of those scheduled to depart (many other sites would put up notices of significant events - not a thing here!). At checkout I dealt with the same person as per above issues - not a word spoken by him and he all but threw my debit card back after payment. Location makes this site - if visiting the area again I would use it.

We called in advance to book a pitch & were told it wasn’t necessary. on arrival we were told there were no pitches available but we could use the overflow field. The receptionist really didn’t care, was offhand & unapologetic. As it was late in the day we had no choice but to accept the alternative pitch & were dismayed to find there was no reduction in the cost. Definitely a campsite that trades on its location rather than customer service.

a large sloping terraced site. the better pitches are left from reception down the slope. the upper pitches are very sloping and vary in size. the toilets are good but need updating. the adjoining restaurant ( separately owned) is pleasant with a varied menu and take way. the visit was spoiled by a most unfriendly receptionist. the bus to San Sebastián goes from outside the site. the approach road is quite narrow in places and has two way traffic. care is needed.

we stayed here to visit San Sebastián. the initial impression was determined by the very poor welcome from a grumpy bad tempered receptionist. we were directed to a pitch but found we couldn’t get our 7.3 mtr van on it flat. I returned to ask if we could move and was told to find “ anything “ in a designated area which we did only to be told that it was “booked”. our third attempt was on a very small irregular shaped muddy pitch which we could just about fit on. walking round the site later it appeared many pitches were so badly sloping that they were unusable. the bottom of the site which was closed off had many rows of flat pitches. the toilets are housed in the middle of this very sloping site. they were clean but dated several had locks broken or missing. The bar/restaurant are independently owned and was friendly and welcoming proving indoor or takeaway meals. the excellent bus service to San Seb is from outside the campsite and runs every 30 minutes.

I booked two nights here.
The staff were the worst I ve ever met. When I made the reservation I asked for a pitch close to the toilets. When I arrived and asked again, they said they don\'t have. But, there were free exactly the pitches I asked for. They asked me to pay at the check in, but, I wasn\'t sure how many days I ll stay, because the surroundings are so amazing, I would like to stay one or two days more for some bike rides. The traffic was awful, not the best place for over 60km bike ride sessions, so I decided to live next day early in the morning, as I planned in the first place. I wanted to pay at the evening before the day I live, and I have to argue at the reception to do the payment and they took the electricity key from me.
The piches are very small, located on a very narrow aley, with no privacy.
The showers were nearly cold, no matter what of the rush hour or not.
No potable water points close to the pitches.
But, beside all of these, I have to say it again: very bad staff!

We stayed for 2 nights. Nice level pitch with EHU and water close to facilities. clean shower block and hot water ( though we had to wait for this to run through, be patient!!)
small shop on site and restaurant though we didn’t use these. Bus stop into San Sebastián about 50 metres. Half hourly bus ride into S S which is a really lovely place to visit..
